Yangtze Excursions
A highlight of your cruise is a trip along one
of the river’s tributaries, either the Daning
River Small Gorges or Shennong Stream,
both of which are noted for their narrow
width and high cliffs. Also visit the Ghost City
of Fengdu, a collection of Daoist temples
and shrines built on a hillside overlooking
the river. Further excursions such as Tribe of
the Three Gorges may be offered depending
on your ship’s itinerary.
Chongqing
Chongqing is at the western terminus of
your Yangtze River Cruise and is famous
for its spicy food. The city is well worth
an overnight stay to see the attractive
gardens of Erlin Park, the General Stilwell
Museum and the traditional area of
Ciqikou with its historical buildings and
local shops.
Chongqing also boasts a Panda House
with eight pandas and a quick visit is
often possible without an overnight stay.
